Statement

  • My recent paintings are the expressions and results ofbeautiful struggles, the battles among textiles with paints to bring thosebeautiful dreams on canvas and on a path to find harmony and peace together. The work starts in layers of abstract and figurative experiments with these media, towards creating recognizable shapes that are in sync with their surroundings.

My vision

  • I started my research in contemporary art from the past human art forms. I have found a fascinating energy that connected me to those primitive shapes. That energy could be related to some fundamental human instinct that carries at all time throughout ages. Since thirty years ego I have drawn and painted these forms passionately using different methods of expression believing in transferring this experience into more contemporary concept. Recently, I have become actively interested in collecting information in the area of aboriginal primitive art forms and objects. These are related to the same universal energy that existed in all ancient art forms. In addition I have been experimenting with different media such as fibres and textiles and incorporating them in  my abstract/figurative paintings. My future work will be based on these shapes.

Workshops and Classes

Primitive Art

In this workshop you will be experimenting with various media of your choice to let your inner child, the wild, raw and primitive energy come out from depth of your fundamental human instinct that has been carried at all time throughout ages. This energy that is locked inside us and doesn’t make its way out, is the universal energy that existed in all ancient art forms.

Let’s try to explore and bring it on paper or canvas. You will have the opportunity to unleash and express your inner wild visions the way you wish. I will have pictures and examples for you to use as guides to start this journey.
